AROUND THE BEND
A Coaching Partnership
You have another chapter in you—and it’s one you get to choose.
For when you're ready to turn toward a life that fits who you've become.
You've done valuable and rewarding work, and done it well for years...maybe decades.
But lately you've realized something:
You've reached the edge of what this version of work (and maybe even life) can teach you.
Whatever's brought you to this point—an organization that's stopped fitting, a career you're ready to set down while you still have plenty left to give, or something else—the shape is the same
You're not burned out on contributing.
You've run out of space to keep growing.
The question is, What comes next?
You might not know yet.
Or perhaps you haven’t even given yourself permission to consider another path.
I can help.
The Around the Bend difference
What you need right now isn't a 5-step plan to find your next job.
It's to pause and orient yourself before you take a single step.
This is what Around the Bend is designed for.
It is not strategy-first coaching—resume polishing, LinkedIn optimization, or a rush toward the next title.
Instead, before we ever turn to external moves, we start on the inside, with you getting clear on who you are in this chapter of life: what you need, what you desire, and what you're ready to create.
Because a journey that starts in confusion will go nowhere fast.
But one guided by a compass of real self-trust can point you in a true direction, with or without a map.
Who you will be around the bend
You will be you.
But deeper, more settled, more sure.
You’ll live from self-trust: You won't simply have decided your next steps. You will trust yourself in those decisions—and in the ones to come.
You’ll act with intention: Instead of what you're “supposed” to want, you will know what you authentically need and want for yourself and your life. Rather than reacting to whatever comes next, you will move forward with intention and purpose.
You’ll have direction: While shifts of mind and heart matter, you'll leave with more than a feeling. You'll have a map: an actionable sense of where you're headed and what your next best steps are.
You’ll have momentum: You'll also navigational tools: internal and external resources to keep moving, even in moments when the path isn't obvious or sure.
You’ll give—sustainably: The life you create around the bend is still one of contribution—because that's just who you are—but this time, it's sustainable. You will have designed a rhythm that treats work as one part of a larger, richer life.
You'll leave hopeful: You will be eager to explore what lies ahead—not depleted or anxious, but energized, curious, and hopeful. You will be on a path, not of perfection, but of vitality.
Your Guide
I've spent my life in mission-driven settings, working alongside people who give themselves to work that matters: educators, healers, nonprofit leaders, creatives, public servants, and faith leaders. I know the world of service and contribution from the inside, including its particular blind spot: the people most committed to the flourishing of others are often the first to neglect their own.
I've lived that pattern myself, and I've watched it in colleague after colleague, friend after friend. Long before I had a coaching business, I was doing this work informally, helping people make their unique contributions in more sustainable ways.
Work that makes a difference is often messy and demanding. I don't promise balance. Few of us have that, and I'm suspicious of anyone who says it can be had if you just follow their magic formula. What I do believe is possible is a life of real contribution that doesn't cost you your health, your relationships, or your joy.
This isn't new territory for me. A philosophical theologian by trade and a teacher, advisor, and facilitator in practice, I've spent my professional life creating spaces for people to sit with the big questions of a life well lived: meaning and purpose; connection, contribution, and belonging; the existential and the spiritual. Coaching is an extension of that vocation.
What’s Included
Around the Bend is a six-month coaching partnership—offering steady, high-touch support for the season you're in right now.
Coaching sessions every other week for 6 months, giving the work room to unfold at a pace that true insight and real change require;
Support between sessions via text, voice message, or email—for sharing hiccups, stumbles, discoveries, or newly emerging dreams;
Reflection exercises and activities between sessions, to keep your work moving even when we're not talking directly.
Rather than a curriculum delivered on a schedule (characteristic of some coaching programs), this coaching partnership offers dedicated 1:1 accompaniment through the questions, anxieties, and thrills of a real transition, steady and spacious.
The Investment
Investment: 6 Months | $4,500, one-time or through a payment plan.
Around the Bend is not a small commitment of time or money. Both are intentional. It takes real time to go wide and deep—to let the internal work settle before the external moves take shape. This coaching experience is designed for genuine transformation, not a quick fix, and that requires both the runway and the investment to match.
